Christine's Weekly Best

Of course, I should have started this at the actual start of the week, but...I was tired, all right? And reading the newest Bloody Jack book, which--due to its damn cliffhanger ending--did not make it onto my list. (Do you hear that, Mr. L.A. Meyer?)
Ahem.

Here's the top three things that stole my heart for this week:

1. PROJECT RUNWAY PATTERN

Either of the shown dresses. I'm partial to the one on the left, because it's form-fitting and, without that material, really pretty. And maybe the one on the right could be given a bubble hem, or made like a tulip skirt...in any case, I'm sewing leftie/righie/both.

2. BLACK POINTY-TOE FLATS

Because, despite their unfortunate patent-leather sheen, black pointy-toe flats just completely dominate over the regular round-toe kind. Why? Three reasons.

One: Elves are cool. Elves wear pointy-toe shoes. Therefore, pointy-toe shoes are cool.

Two: They can be used as painful weapons in a pinch. (I know this from expierience. ... Kidding.)

Three: Seriously, you just look cooler when your shoe is pointy. Plus, despite how uncomfortable it looks, there's a lot more room for your toes. Plus--they're black. Black has always been the epitome of coolness. (The patent leather still bothers me, but...the pros outweigh the cons.)

3. BLUE BUNNY ICE CREAM (PREFERABLY VANILLA)

Despite the fact that I originally bought it just because of its name and adorable logo (I'm a loser, yeah, whatever, so are you), Blue Bunny ice cream--in Vanilla--gave me, like, a taste-gasm. I recommend it with brownies and hot fudge. It is the best thing in the world.
